Overview
FileMaker API Explorer is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use this service.
Data Processing
Your FileMaker Server credentials (URL, username, and password) are used solely to authenticate with your FileMaker Server and are never stored in any database or transmitted to any third party. They are held only in an encrypted, server-side Flask session cookie for the duration of your session.
All data you view or modify is retrieved directly from and sent directly to your own FileMaker Server. We do not cache, log, or retain any of your FileMaker data.
What We Collect
- We do not collect or store your FileMaker credentials beyond your active session
- We do not collect personal information
- We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising
- We may collect anonymous aggregate usage statistics to improve the service
Session & Data Retention
Your session — including your credentials and any selected database — expires automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity, matching the FileMaker Data API token lifetime. When you log out or the session expires, all session data is cleared from the server. We do not retain any of your FileMaker information after your session ends.
Third-Party Services
This application communicates only with the FileMaker Server URL you provide. No third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing services are involved in handling your FileMaker data.
Security
Sessions are protected with an HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax
cookie. In production deployments the cookie is also marked Secure
(HTTPS only). We recommend always accessing this tool over HTTPS.
